日趨高聳林立的大樓逐漸阻擋了東京鐵塔的電波傳送
More and more high buildings obstructed the radio waves
from Tokyo Tower
数多くの高い建物が
東京タワーからの電波を遮るようになってきました

2003年，種下一顆「新電波塔建設計畫」的種子
Start the project of making new tower which will be with
Radio and TV wave in 2003
2003年、ラジオ・テレビの電波を送るための
新しい電波塔を作る計画が始まりました
2005年，東武鐵道公司接下建案；隔年，最終決定於墨田區建置新塔
Tobu Train Company was in charge of this building case in
2005
Next year, Sumida area got the final decision of place to
build the new tower
2005年には、東武鉄道株式会社がこの新しい取り組みを担うことになり
翌年には、墨田エリアに新しいタワーが建設されることが決定しました
2008年，在全國命名投票中取名為「TOKYO SKYTREE」，並且啟動建設工程
The new tower was named “TOKYO SKYTREE” by the national
vote, then start the construction
2008年、一般の方々の投票により「東京スカイツリー」と名付けられ、
建設が始まることとなりました。
2012年，二月二十九日落成；五月二十二日正式開幕
In 2012, the completion of construction was on February
29th, officially opened on May 22nd
そして、2012年2月29日に完成し
同年5月22日に公式にオープンしたのです。

634公尺的高度取自「武藏」(MUSASHI) 的諧音
The height of the tower is 634 meters which is the
euphony of “Musashi”

武蔵（むさし）という響きでもあります
三角形基座向上延伸成圓柱狀，結合了傳統寺院的建築技術，形成日本刀「反翹」與
「隆起」的造型，從不同角度觀看會呈現不同形狀
Transition of triangle to circle, it based on the building skills of traditional temples, Fusion
“Sori” (a curve of Japanese-Katana) and “Mukuri” (the design of Japanese
Buddhist buildings). It will be different shapes when you see at different
angles
